BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION

Is the Change Still in Use? A 90-Day Review After a Major Change Goes Live

Three months after the new job cards went live, they are used on two lines and the third has quietly gone back to the notebook. Nobody decided that. It happened one busy week at a time.

We review the change on day ninety: what is in use, what slipped back, what the figures show and what to decide. This page is about checking and settling a change after launch. Planning the telling and training is the Change Communication & Training Plan, and the fortnightly progress checks during the change are part of Business Transformation.

WHAT WE DO

The work,
step by step.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Outputs you
can use.

  • An adoption check sheet with the spot-check results by team
  • A lapse log with the cause of each
  • A decision note: keep, adjust or retire, for each part of the change
  • A handover note naming the owner and the monthly check

Final deliverables depend on the agreed scope.

CHOOSE THIS IF

A change went live about three months ago and you suspect parts of it are no longer used, but you cannot say which. Choose Business Transformation instead if the change has not started or is still being planned. Choose Monthly Business Review Systems if you want a standing monthly meeting on the numbers rather than a one-time review.

This is one part of Business Transformation. Start at the Business Transformation page if you are not sure which part fits.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you
get in touch.

In the first month people tend to follow a change because it is new and being watched. By the third month the extra attention has gone, and what remains in use is what is likely to last. A month-one review mostly measures enthusiasm.

Yes. We work from whatever aim and figures exist and rebuild a starting point from records if there are none. Findings are limited by what was recorded, and we say where.

The decision note says so and names what to adjust or retire. Dropping a part that does not fit is a result. Keeping it on paper while people ignore it is the costly option.
