VAASTU CONSULTANTS
Vaastu Consultant Business: Visit Fees, Reports and Referrals
A family is about to book a flat and asks you to visit the site on Saturday. You drive across the city, take measurements, spend two hours with them, and are asked to send a written opinion that evening for a fee agreed on the phone.
We advise on the business side. That covers how visits, reports and follow-up are priced, how your diary and travel are planned, how fees are collected, and how work from builders and architects is handled. We do not comment on vaastu itself or promise any result.
Discuss your priorities ↗COMMON CHALLENGES
The pressures
we often see.
- 01Fees for a visit, a report and a follow-up are agreed loosely, so the report is expected as part of the visit.
- 02Travel across the city and outstation trips eat the diary, and a day with one long visit earns less than a day with three short ones.
- 03Clients decide in a hurry before a booking and then call repeatedly after, with no limit on follow-up calls in the fee.
- 04Builders and architects refer work, but expectations on rates, report formats and deadlines are never written down.
- 05Everything depends on the consultant himself, so the business stops when he is ill or travelling.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Where the work
usually starts.
- 01A fee card separating site visit, drawing review, written report and follow-up consultation
- 02A booking sheet capturing property type, area, location, drawings available and purpose before quoting
- 03A diary rule grouping visits by area and capping outstation days
- 04A report template so written outputs take less time and look consistent
- 05A follow-up limit stated in the fee, with a rate for more calls
- 06Advance payment rules for site visits and outstation travel
- 07A referral sheet for builders and architects showing rates, formats and payment terms
- 08Whether an assistant or junior can handle drawing review and report drafting under your sign-off
START THIS WEEK
Things you can do
before you call anyone.
- Review last month's visits. Note travel hours, visit hours and report hours against the fee you charged. Find which kind of job pays least per hour.
- Hypothetical example: a ₹5,000 fee for a visit that takes three hours of travel, two hours on site and two hours for the report gives about ₹700 an hour.
- Write a short fee message with scope and number of follow-up calls included. Send it before the next visit, not after.
A PRACTICAL ENGAGEMENT
Start with the priorities
that matter most.
We begin by understanding how your business runs today, find the gaps, and agree the scope in writing. Recommendations are shaped around your team, your resources and your goals.
- A fee card and booking checklist for visits, drawings and reports
- A weekly diary plan grouping appointments by area and effort
- A report template and review rule for assistants
- A one-page referral terms sheet for builders and architects
Not the right fit when: This is not the place to validate vaastu methods or settle a family or builder dispute. If your concern is a legal or structural matter, a lawyer or engineer should be involved.
