TELECOM AND BROADBAND PROVIDERS
Local Broadband Operators: Churn, Collections and Field Teams
A subscriber's line has been down since morning, and the complaint is on three different notes: the WhatsApp message, the call log and the technician's notebook. The customer calls again at night. By then he has also asked a neighbour about another provider.
Broadband and telecom owners get our help with fault handling, collections and renewals, installation crews, agent and franchise accounts, and dashboards the owner reads. We do not design networks or advise on licences. Your engineers and the regulator decide those.
Discuss your priorities ↗COMMON CHALLENGES
The pressures
we often see.
- 01Faults are reported through calls, messages and walk-ins, and nobody sees the full list, so repeat complaints from the same lane or building go unnoticed.
- 02Renewals depend on the collection agent remembering whom to visit, and subscribers who lapse quietly stay lapsed until they leave for good.
- 03Installation crews wait for cable, ONTs or routers from the store, and a new connection takes longer than the customer was told.
- 04Local agents hold cash for days before depositing it, and the owner finds out at the month end that some of it is still outstanding.
- 05Plans and offers change often, and the front desk, agents and technicians each quote a different price to the same customer.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Where the work
usually starts.
- 01A single complaint log with ticket time, area, fault type, technician and closing time
- 02Subscribers due for renewal in the next seven days, sorted by area and collection agent
- 03A count of lapsed and disconnected users each month with the reason recorded at the call
- 04Installation stock of cable, routers and connectors with a minimum level and a daily count
- 05Agent cash deposit rules: how many days cash may be held and who reconciles
- 06Crew schedule for new connections and fault visits, with travel zones
- 07A written price and plan sheet that all staff and agents use the same way
- 08An area-wise view of connections added, lost and faults raised, read by the owner weekly
START THIS WEEK
Things you can do
before you call anyone.
- Collect complaints from calls, messages and technician notebooks into one sheet for three days. Count repeats by lane or building. That count shows where a lasting fix is needed.
- List subscribers who did not renew last month and call five of them to ask why. Write the reasons down. Hypothetical example: three of five say the evening speed dropped.
- Ask each agent how much cash they hold today and how old the oldest rupee is. Agree on one rule for deposit days and share it by message.
A PRACTICAL ENGAGEMENT
Start with the priorities
that matter most.
We begin by understanding how your business runs today, find the gaps, and agree the scope in writing. Recommendations are shaped around your team, your resources and your goals.
- A complaint and fault log format with closing rules and a daily review routine
- A renewal and lapse tracker by area and agent, with a call routine for the lapsed list
- An agent cash and deposit policy with a weekly reconciliation sheet
- A one-page weekly owner view of additions, disconnections, faults and collections
Not the right fit when: Put this aside if you are dealing with a licence, a regulatory notice or a network failure that needs your engineers. Those take priority.
