ASTROLOGERS
Running an Astrology Practice: Fees, Slots and Repeat Families
A family phones on Sunday evening asking for a wedding date. Two more messages arrive before you finish, one wanting a quick answer on chat, another already paid for a written horoscope report you have not started. The diary lives in your head.
Our part is the practice as a small business: what a consultation costs and how it is booked, where each promised report stands, and which families are due a call. Your astrology, any prediction and any religious guidance are yours alone.
Discuss your priorities ↗COMMON CHALLENGES
The pressures
we often see.
- 01Quick questions on chat eat the hours that paid consultations should use, and nobody has told the senders where a long chat ends and a booked sitting begins.
- 02Wedding-season and festival months bring a rush of muhurat and matching requests, while the quiet months leave the diary thin and income uneven.
- 03Written reports promised to clients sit half-finished, and the client only learns about the delay when they ask for it a second time.
- 04Fees differ by client because they were agreed by phone, so a family that paid one amount last year hears a different one this year.
- 05Families who consulted you for a wedding rarely hear from you again until the next crisis, even though a naming ceremony or house entry may be coming.
OUR FOCUS AREAS
Where the work
usually starts.
- 01The consultation menu: sitting length, written versus verbal, in-person versus phone, and the fee attached to each.
- 02A booking sheet showing who is confirmed, who has paid an advance and who is still only enquiring.
- 03The report register, listing each promised report with its date asked, date promised and date sent.
- 04How a wedding-season week is split between fresh muhurat requests, matchings and reports in progress.
- 05The family record: names, past occasions, what was delivered and when the next occasion is likely.
- 06Rules for chat enquiries, including which questions get a short reply and which are moved to a booked slot.
- 07Referral habits with pandits, venues and priests, tracked as a simple list of who sent whom.
- 08Cash and UPI receipts matched to sittings so the month-end total agrees with the diary.
START THIS WEEK
Things you can do
before you call anyone.
- Write down every kind of consultation you do, how long each really takes, and the fee you would quote today. Put it on one page and use only that page for the next ten enquiries.
- Open a list of every report you have promised. Add the date asked and the date you told the client. Message anyone already late with a new date.
- Hypothetical example: you take 20 chat enquiries in a week and 6 become paid sittings. Note which 6 asked for a time slot first. Reply to the other 14 with your menu and booking link or number.
- Pick your ten most loyal families and write against each the next occasion that could bring them back. Keep it in a notebook you open every Monday.
A PRACTICAL ENGAGEMENT
Start with the priorities
that matter most.
We begin by understanding how your business runs today, find the gaps, and agree the scope in writing. Recommendations are shaped around your team, your resources and your goals.
- A one-page fee and consultation menu you can show a family without negotiating from scratch.
- A weekly diary routine covering slots, advances taken and reports due.
- A report tracker with promised dates and a simple rule for telling clients about delays.
- A family follow-up list with the occasions that usually bring a household back to you.
Not the right fit when: This is not the right engagement if the real issue is a dispute with a client over a prediction or a legal matter, which needs a lawyer. We also do not advise on the astrology itself.
