Where Your Revenue Really Comes From: A Review of the Customers You Already Have
You are about to add a second product line when an old customer mentions he has not bought from you since the monsoon. You open the books and find you cannot list your customers by what they paid you last year.
We total your invoices by customer and read the result three ways. How much comes from a few accounts? Which regular customers are past their usual gap between orders? Could your team serve more from the same people? This page is about the revenue you already have. Winning new customers is sales and marketing work, which we do not cover, and testing a new site is the Branch & Expansion Readiness Check.

The work,
step by step.
- 01Export two years of invoices and total them by customer, keeping the date of each order
- 02Rank customers by revenue and work out the share held by the top one, the top five and the top ten
- 03Work out each regular customer's usual gap between orders and mark those now past it
- 04Split revenue into repeat and first-time customers and compare year on year
- 05Check capacity: how many more orders from existing customers your team, stock and delivery could take without new people
- 06Agree who in your team speaks to each lapsed or slowing account, and the one question they ask
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Outputs you
can use.
- A customer revenue table, ranked, with each customer's share of the total
- Concentration figures: the share of the top customer, the top five and the top ten
- A list of lapsed and slowing customers with their usual order gap and days since the last order
- A capacity note and a one-page summary of how much growth the current base can give before a new move
Final deliverables depend on the agreed scope.
CHOOSE THIS IF
You are planning to grow and cannot yet say who your customers are by revenue, how many have gone quiet or how much more you could serve from them. Choose the Financial Health Assessment instead if the worry is margin and cash rather than revenue, and Market & Competitor Analysis if you already know your base and want to look outward.
