COUNTRY
Business Consulting for German Owners in Industry and Crafts
Germany is known for industrial production. Machinery, electrical equipment, chemicals and vehicles sit at the centre. Around them stands a dense network of smaller suppliers, many owned by the same family for generations. Alongside industry there is a large craft sector, a strong construction trade and a hospitality business that is mostly made of small operators.
Cash timing against large customers is a common worry. So is finding skilled staff, and so is a firm outgrowing its founder. Succession needs thought long before the date arrives. A founder tied to the shop floor may find a call easier than a visit. Euros appear in the written scope, beside a list of what we would examine. Rupee examples elsewhere on the site are there to show method.

What shapes business
in Germany.
Industrial production and its suppliers
Germany Trade and Invest names machinery and equipment, electronics, chemicals and the automotive industry among the country's main strengths. Regional industry clusters and a deep pool of engineers help. Around the big names work smaller makers of parts, tools and components, often selling to just a few industrial customers.
Owner-managed mid-sized firms
The Federation of German Industries notes that most small and mid-sized firms are owner-managed and so count as family businesses. It also links export success to mid-sized industrial firms and to the many specialised "hidden champions". These hold a strong place in a narrow niche and stay little known to the public.
Handwerk, the skilled crafts
The German Confederation of Skilled Crafts describes a very large number of craft businesses, mostly small or mid-sized, in trades such as metalworking, baking and restoration. Training follows the dual system, where apprentices learn partly in a firm and partly in a vocational school.
Construction and hospitality
Destatis reports that small and mid-sized enterprises form a large part of activity in construction and in accommodation and food services. Building contractors, installers, hotels, guesthouses and restaurants are therefore usually owner-run, with a small team and a founder who still decides most things.
COMMON CHALLENGES
Challenges that come up
in businesses here.
- 01Component makers often depend on a handful of industrial buyers, so one changed order pattern or slow payment can strain wages and material purchases at once.
- 02Craft and installation firms commonly struggle to hire and train enough skilled people, which caps how many jobs the owner can accept.
- 03Family firms often reach a point where the founder holds the customers, the pricing and the know-how, and a handover has no written process to lean on.
- 04Hotels and restaurants commonly carry fixed costs through quiet seasons, so pricing, staffing and opening hours need a clear plan rather than habit.
TIME ZONE
Working across
the time gap.
UTC+1 in winter, UTC+2 in summer. Compare clocks like this: India leads Germany by 4 hours 30 minutes in winter and by 3 hours 30 minutes in summer.
We book the first call once the scope of the problem is clear, so the conversation starts from your business and not from a calendar.

OUR SERVICES
Where our services fit
in Germany.
Business Process
Writing down how an order moves from quote to delivery helps a small maker pass work to others when the founder steps back.
Business Audit
A review of receivables by customer shows component suppliers how long each large buyer takes to pay and what the wait costs.
Business Strategy
For family firms, a succession-oriented strategy discussion sets out who holds which decisions before a handover is due.
Business Coaching
Founders of craft and installation firms use coaching to move from doing every job to running a team of skilled people.
HOW WE WORK
How we work with owners
in Germany.
We have no office in Germany. We work with owners by phone and video, from India.
- First call by phone or video, to hear how your business runs and what is stuck.
- A written scope that says what we will look at, what you will receive and what we need from you, with the fee written in your currency.
- Your first sheet: the one page of numbers or decisions that the work starts from.
- A review rhythm agreed with you, so the work is checked against what actually happened.
Tax, employment, immigration, licensing and regulatory questions stay with local professionals and the authority in Germany. Our advice stays on how the business is run.
