NON-PROFIT CONSULTING

Business Consulting for NGOs, Trusts and Non-profit Organisations

A grant ends in two months, a report is due to a donor, and the field team is stretched across three programmes. The founder is the fundraiser, the finance lead and the programme head, and the accounts are updated when time allows.

Our focus is the management of the organisation: programme cost sheets, a cash calendar across grants, a monthly reporting habit and a clear split of decisions between founder and team. Registration, tax status, foreign-funding rules and grant writing are for qualified professionals and the regulator.

Things you can do
before you call anyone.

  1. List every funding source with its end date and amount remaining. Mark the quarter where cash will be tightest and note what you would delay or ask for.
  2. Pick one programme and add up its real monthly cost, including staff time and travel. Divide by the people reached to see the figure you carry.
  3. Hypothetical example: a donor report is due on the 30th and the data sits with three field workers. Set a monthly one-page entry for each so the report is a collation and not a hunt.
  4. Write down three decisions only the founder takes today. Choose one to hand to a senior team member with a clear limit, and review in a month.

Not the right fit when: Registration, tax status, foreign contribution rules and donor disputes need a qualified professional, the regulator or a lawyer.
