WELLNESS CONSULTING
Business Consulting for Gyms, Salons, Spas and Wellness Studios
January fills the studio and March empties it. The trainer is popular, the front desk handles renewals as and when someone asks, and a package sold at a discount last year is still being redeemed at full cost.
The work is on the business behind the sessions: how plans and packages are priced, which slots fill, who owns renewals and where cash is recorded. Anything about the body, health or treatment results sits with qualified professionals, and nothing here promises an outcome to a customer.

COMMON CHALLENGES
What these businesses
have in common.
- 01Joining peaks at the start of the year and after festivals, and many members stop coming within a few months, but nobody calls them before the renewal date.
- 02Prime-hour slots are full while mid-day slots stay empty, yet the price is the same for both and the staff cost does not change.
- 03Packages and offers are sold to fill a slow week, and their redemption cost is not tracked, so a discount lingers long after the offer.
- 04Customers follow a particular trainer or stylist, and when that person leaves the business loses the clients as well as the staff member.
- 05Cash, card and UPI are recorded by different people, and refunds and complimentary sessions are not always written down.
START THIS WEEK
Things you can do
before you call anyone.
- List members whose plans end in the coming month and mark those who have not visited recently. Have one person call each with a specific question about what stopped them.
- Mark the three emptiest hours in your week. Decide one offer or change that applies to those hours only, and note the result after a week.
- Hypothetical example: you sold 50 packages at a discount of ₹X off the usual price. Check how many sessions remain unredeemed and what they will cost at full staff time.
- Write a short note of who handles which regular customers and who covers each if they leave. Review it with your two senior staff.
Not the right fit when: A customer injury, a health complaint or a licence matter belongs with a qualified professional, the authority or a lawyer.
